Safeco Field, Seattle

This is the coolest sports venue I have ever been to, Safeco Field in Seattle. I love how the stadium opens on to the city skyline, and it also has a great deck overlooking Puget Sound. When I visited in September of 2005, I barely watched the game, instead enjoying a great sunset over the sound and then a dinner of fish and chips, not your usual ballpark fare!

The rest of the pictures can be seen here-

The Salzkammergut

The Salzkammergut is an area of mountains and lakes surrounding Salzburg, Austria. Tone and I took a tour of sites from the movie "The Sound of Music" here in 1998. The temperature reached well into the 90s, which was a record for the region.

Yikes!!!!!

This is the worst photo of me I have ever seen. This is my school picture from my freshman year of high school. I had my mom curl my hair in the morning so I could comb it back and it would stay back all day. Something obviously went seriously wrong here.

The Whitsunday Islands

The Whitsunday Islands off Australia's East Coast have easily the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. This on is white silica sand, which is almost like powder. The water was over 80 degrees!

Stuck Car with Cool Bumper Sticker

I got my blazer stuck in the sand dunes near the shore of Lake Michigan in April of 2005. I overestimated how useful the four wheel drive would be. I love my profetic bumper sticker "Barry Bonds is a Cheater".

Antelope Island

This is Antelope Island, located in the Great Salt Lake of Northern Utah. I particularly like this photo because of the rainbow in the background. It was sunny on the island, but rainy on the mainland creating the conditions for this great photo.

Devil's Tower National Monument

I've been to Devil's Tower four times (1983, 2001, 2002, and 2006). The pictures from 1983 are very blurry, there was fog which covered the tower in 2001, and it rained hard when I visited in 2006. This photo is from a picture perfect day in May of 2002, when I visited with Stan Gerdes on our way back East from Glacier National Park.

Sacre Couer, Paris

This church stands on a hilly in a neighborhood called Monemarte, which overlooks Paris. This was taken on my birthday in 1998, 10 years ago from this coming Monday. It was a spetacular day, sunny, about 80 degrees and there were a couple of guitar players sitting on the steps out front playing and leading a sing-a-long. It is one of my most vibrant memories from that trip.

This Paris page has pictures from three visits to Paris (June 97, August 98, November 98)-
