Big Bend National Park

This photo is from the Chisos Mountains area of Big Bend National Park in Southwest Texas. I visited there in April of 2007. Big Bend is a very large park, containing desert and mountain landscapes. It's Southern border is the Rio Grande River. I was there in April and it was close to 100 degrees. By the time I made it to my hotel in the evening I was nearly sunblind!

Mesa Verde National Park

This Photo is from Mesa Verde National Park in Southwestern Colorado. Mesa Verde is one of my favorite National Parks. They take you on guided tours on ancient Indian dwellings, and it is amazing to get a glimpse into this lifestyle.
