As the caption says, this picture is from Hong Kong, the first stop on my family's 1996 cruise of Asia. You can see our cruise ship docked in Kowloon on the left side of this photo in the middle. Hong Kong was quite a culture shock to me- I hadn't been out of the country since my family's 1986 trip to Europe and few things can adequately prepare someone for the chaos of Hong Kong.
