Arkansas Post National Monument marks a number of significant events that happened on this site. First, It was the site of the first European settlement in the area in 1686. It was also the site of Revolutionary War and Civil War battles, as well as being the first capital of the Arkansas Territory. The site focuses on the number of flags that have flown over this strategic piece of land.See more of my pictures here.
