JNEM is located along the Mississippi River in St. Louis, Missouri. It sits a top the excellent Museum of Westward Expansion and commemorates the nearby departure spot if the Lewis & Clark expedition. Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the arch. I did not do this on the day this picture was taken in 2004, it was a Saturday and the lines were enormous.
